Little Dude

A real dog with some very big lessons to share.

Little Dude isn't just a character in a book. He's a real dog.

Little Dude and Cara became a certified therapy dog team and began volunteering in hospitals, schools and classrooms. And everywhere they went, Cara noticed the same thing: children opened up around him.

Big ideas like respect, boundaries and kindness suddenly became concrete, playful and much easier for little humans to understand.

We teach ABCs and 123s. We can teach kindness too.

Our Story

Created by an educator.
Loved by little humans.

Big World of Little Dude was created by Cara Zelas, early childhood educator, Montessori teacher and children's author. She has spent years helping young children build the skills they need to connect, communicate and thrive.

Her approach is simple: children can learn kindness, friendship and resilience just like they learn their ABCs. Sometimes they just need someone to show them how.
